The 2008 Sierra Denali is a four-door luxury truck. It is available only as a crew cab. The Denali is equipped with the biggest engine that emphasizes performance more than towing capacity. This big pickup offers smooth shifting, upscale styling and refined interiors.
Power and Performance
For 2008, the Denali is exclusively powered by a 403-horsepower, 6.2-liter, V-8 engine that cranks out 417 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and a rear- or all-wheel drive.
Body and Styling
Unique features of the Denali are its powertrain, heated steering wheel, wood-grain console, and special 18-inch wheels (with 20-inch wheels as optional). Standard features include a refined exterior styling; superior build quality; heated and powered front seats; on-road-biased suspension tuning; remote start; electronic control folding rearview mirrors; heated leather seats; power adjustment for the passenger seat; adjustable pedals; 10-position seat control; dual-zone climate control; sonar rear parking assist; rain-sensing windshield wipers; sunroof; touch-screen navigation system; XM radio and rear-seat entertainment. There are sufficient electrical outlets and portals to handle laptops, wireless fax machines and MP3 players. The Denali has retained the manufacturer's signature perforated chrome-plate grille.
Safety features
Anti-lock brakes (front disc, rear drum); dual front air bags; an all-disc setup; tire-pressure monitoring system; StabiliTrak electronic stability system with rollover mitigation technology; ultrasonic rear park assist; Autotrac active transfer case; and OnStar emergency notification are important safety features in the Denali. Optional features include head curtain air bags that automatically inflate during a serious impact to provide extra protection during a secondary collision.
